Adolescent Psychotherapy

Puberty; is a period when many critical issues such as identity development, individualization, and gender roles begin to be discussed.

During this period, psychotherapy support may be needed regarding the difficulties in peer relationships, the conflicts experienced by the adolescent with family members, and the emotions and thoughts that occupy the adolescent's mind regarding the changes he is experiencing.

In therapy with adolescents, interviews are held with parents in order to understand family dynamics and gain information about early childhood, but due to the needs of separation from family and individuality specific to adolescence, family interviews are held less frequently compared to the interviews held in child therapy, depending on the age of the adolescent.
